Description

Join us on Tuesday November 15th at the Union Church of Los Angeles in Little Tokyo for the Los Angeles Food Policy Council's November Network Event—Growing Resiliency: Climate Change and Emergency Preparedness in our Local Food System.

How resilient is our local food system in light of climate change or a natural disaster? Hear from climate change and resiliency experts including Mayor Eric Garcetti's Chief Resilience Officer Marissa Aho, the Emergency Management Department's Senior Analyst Carol Parks, and the Center for Popular Democracy's Climate Justice Director Aura Vasquez on the role our Good Food movement can play in the resiliency of our city. The event will examine the vulnerabilities and assets of Los Angeles' current food system and challenge our good food movement to consider the ways in which we can plan for and adapt to crisis.
